Executive Summary

This is a short behind the scene of Cohesion Summit—a project trying to bring people together to work on community projects. It is not a success story yet. It is a learning story. If you want to build something in your community but don't know where to start, this story shows their journey and challenges.

Key Insight: The event was designed for people ready to work together. But most people were at an earlier step. This further causing the marketing message not able to match the people. Most people could not see themselves in the event. The number of people showed up implied negative feedback. This was too much for one person to carry, the core leadership almost burnout. Now they are changing to help people create ideas first. This is learning.
